We are Inês and Catarina and paperboat.pt is a 100% Portuguese brand that emerged in May 2019, from an old dream, driven by our daughters, who were always asking for different swimwear than their friends.What started out as a joke quickly became a passion.From the beginning, we took the foundations that architecture brought us, in our taste for fashion, in the interests of our children and in the principles of quality, environmental, sustainability, and fair trade, in which we believe so much, we mixed everything and created a lot of more than a unique and differentiating product, we have created a family in which all customers and partners are part.Collections:Our collections are characterized by the unique combination of patterns and colors and the design of specific models for each stage of childhood, that can be combined with each other. So all brothers between 6m and 16 years old can match. Additionally, we also make pieces for adults, men and women, so that the whole family can match. That's why our hashtag is #paperboatfamily.In addition to the main collection, at the beginning of the school year we always launch a collection dedicated to sports activities, whether swimming, gymnastics, figure skating, running, tennis, etc., where versatility is key. A base piece, combined with different accessories, allows the practice of various modalities.Out Values: We are a family brand so the models, our children are our inspiration and are a fundamental part of our project, and each piece is only produced after their approval. All the swim fabric is made from recycled polyester from plastic bottles caught in the ocean and the swimming trunks has quick drying treatment. The girl's pieces are all lined (front and back) and the boy's underpants are made of super soft and soft Lycra (not mesh) for comfort. The fabrics are made in Portugal, Spain and Italy. All the confection is made in Portugal, in factories and small ateliers close to our area of residence. All other partners and materials are also Portuguese. We do not use plastic and each piece is delivered in a cotton bag. The fabrics left over from past collections are used for the #wastezero movement, where we create smaller pieces, such as skate covers.We are living a dream and we believe that Paper Boat is:“A dream for beach lovers”
