The first brand of children’s hygiene products inspired by Montessori teaching methods
All our products are 100% natural ( for real ), made in France , Vegan , Preservatives and allergens free.
Our two main goals:
1. Make life easier for parents who can’t be everywhere at once let alone decipher endless INCI lists - by creating 100% natural ECOCERTified products with only 5 to 10 ingredients..
2. Use the Montessori method to teach children aged 3 to 11 in a playful way to be autonomous and to finally enjoy washing. That’s right! Telling them over and over to have a bath or wash their hands is a universal problem .
Our formulas
We develop ultra-safe formulas for our cherubs.
0% Sulfate: for a gentle wash
0% Glycol: (pentylene glycol, propylene glycol etc) to reduce irritation
0% Essential oils: to avoid allergenic and CMR molecules*
0% Allergens and medical plants: to reduce sensitization and allergies
0% Salicylic derivatives: to prevent potential endocrine disruptors
0% Sodium benzoate: to avoid the molecule suspected of being related to hyperactivity in young children**
0% Derivative petrochemicals and unnecessary marketing ingredients: to ensure a greener planet and a brighter future for our children
Our story
Sandrine and Dr. Tao are lifelong friends. Sandrine is an art director. Dr. Tao specialises in phytochemistry and cosmetics.
Dr. Tao is her friends’ go to for understanding labels. She analyses the details and makes recommendations. As time went by, she realised there was
a fundamental problem with children’s hygiene products.
They were either playful but full of petrochemicals, or compliant
with the INCI list but no fun whatsoever.
That’s when the idea for LiLiKiWi began to sprout. Dr. Tao shared her idea with Sandrine, who began to imagine a creative slant for the brand.
One day, their brainstorming was interrupted by Sandrine’s daughter who had
a sore tummy. They fled to Rennes children’s hospital. While they were waiting, they noticed the little one washing her hands over and over with antibacterial gel then putting her fingers in her mouth - yuck! That set Sandrine and Dr. Tao wondering... Fun, clean products were a start. But it was even more important for children to understand and learn every day hygiene rituals. For example, there’s no need to use anti-bacterial gel over and over within a few minutes..
That’s when they had the idea to use the Montessori method.
And then LiLiKiWi was born.
