Akwa Baby is a courageous children's brand, inspired by African heritage and created by two parents with the intention to raise confident children. Akwa Baby is driven by our values as parents and has been born out of our personal experiences of the world. Our mission is to Empower the New Generation with self love and confidence and we do this through storytelling prints, against a backdrop of celebrating African Heritage.Through artwork and symbols, every print tells a story that leads to positive affirmations for the wearer to say proudly out loud! The story of Akwa Baby's first print, OBI, belongs to founders Claire & Ogo and the message they wanted to pass onto their own children, these affirmations are:I am loved, I am courageous, I celebrate colour.Celebrate Colour is a company mantra that encourages all children to love the uniqueness of themselves and the uniqueness of others. The vision is that all children can grow up in a world where they feel they are valued. The initial OBI range was released in the summer of 2021, and a new Summer 2023 print is to be released in March 2023. The range has been produced with all Oek-Tex, GOTS and OCS approved fabrics and components using organic fabrics. And we're proud to say there is no plastic between the manufacturer and our customer, as all branded tags, attachments and packaging has been produced from natural fibres and FSC approved paper.
