MOTHERWOOD is the sustainable breastfeeding fashion label committed to the well-being of breastfeeding moms, in line with our "Relaxed Mum = Happy Baby" philosophy. Our holistic approach involves not only creating fashion adapted to breastfeeding with invisible side zippers for easy access and quick opening, but also supporting moms and their families through this intense phase of pregnancy and beyond, thanks to our network of experts (IBCLC-certified lactation consultants, nutritionists, sophrologists, Pilates and yoga coaches, etc.).
Our products are developed with mothers and IBCLC-certified lactation consultants in the South of France, for breastfeeding without compromise. They are then manufactured in certified workshops in Portugal using eco-innovative materials. For more transparency and to meet our expectations in terms of the sustainability and ethics of our products, we develop our materials exclusively for our brand, amongst others on the basis of TENCEL™ Lyocell (eucalyptus fiber sourced in Austria) and GOTS-certified organic cotton.
MEET THE FOUNDER
As a mother of 2 children, including a premature one, Patricia MESSINGER-BRUNOT struggled to successfully breastfeed. The lack of information and moral support, as well as the loneliness of this adventure, particularly affected her and led her to create MOTHERWOOD: The first sustainable fashion label committed to the well-being of breastfeeding mothers. A German-born nature lover, she draws inspiration from Nordic minimalism in her designs.
